Oil and Mixed Media Artist
My work is about color,texture and movement.
While some of my paintings are representational (traditionally visual art is concerned
with images) representing things can inhibit investigating the way paint behaves and the
possible relationships of colors. So.,.I sometimes begin with recognizable images and
sometimes with color or in the case of collages textures. Either way when things go well
a dialog develops as the work progresses which leads to new ideas and variations.
