Arlene Keller Cook
There is beauty, purpose and mystery to everything in life. My aim in art is to portray what I see and feel. To feel, and see this unity gives me the inspirational to try and render these ideas in my art. I want to invite the viewer to enter my paintings, linger awhile, and enjoy my impression of the beauty of nature.

Cass Fine
I went back to school, loving the exploration of subject matter, never much worried about a direction. My favorites became photography, writing, and painting. So that is what I became... a photographer, a writer, an artist.

I am attracted to beautiful design. It doesn't matter if it is a painting, sculpture, sports car, antique, or rare coin. A spring flower, butterfly, or tree leaf can be an inspiration.

I enjoy working on location and do many paintings from photographs. There are times when it is difficult to decide whether to paint in watercolor or oil. Watercolor paintings seem delicate while oil paintings seem more sensuous. Nature scenes, old ranches, etc. dictate which medium will produce the best mood and sense of place that I am looking for. I want to draw the viewer in and make them feel the warmth of a summer day, nostalgia of old buildings, the power and beauty of our natural world.

I work in watercolor, oil, pastel, acrylic, and clay. When I get an idea, the idea usually chooses the media it will be created in.

I paint landscapes because I believe that although our natural environment is forever changing, I find strength in the relative permanence of the earth itself.

Everyone has seen something - a landscape, flower, person, or animal - that for some reason captures the imagination or emotions. Often the wish arises to somehow capture this special moment and share it with others.
